Counter1234 (iOS) / Last updated August 16, 2026
This is an English translation of the Japanese privacy policy. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.
None. Your counts, the names you give your memory slots, the step sizes for adding and subtracting, and your display and physical-button settings are all stored on your own device. The developer has no server that holds users' data, and has no means of obtaining, storing or viewing any of it.
The app can export your records as CSV and share them, but you choose where they go, and nothing is sent to the developer.
This app includes the SDK for Google's advertising service, Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Because this is a counter app, this ad SDK is the only part of the app that communicates with anything outside your device. To deliver ads, measure their performance and diagnose problems, the SDK may collect the following data. It is Google, not the developer, that collects and uses it.
| Data | Purpose | Tracking |
|---|---|---|
| Coarse Location | Third-Party Advertising, Analytics | Yes |
| Device ID | Third-Party Advertising | Yes |
| Product Interaction | Third-Party Advertising, Analytics | Yes |
| Advertising Data | Analytics, Third-Party Advertising | Yes |
| Crash Data | Analytics | No |
| Performance Data | Analytics | No |
“Coarse Location” is a rough area estimated from the IP address used for the connection. This app only counts things, and it never shows a screen asking for location permission. It does not access the device's GPS at all. “Crash Data” and “Performance Data” are used to diagnose problems in the SDK and to measure things such as launch time. Developer analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics) are not included.
This is the same information shown in the privacy details on the App Store product page. For how Google handles it, see Google's policy; for what the SDK collects, see Google's official documentation.
The remove-ads option is bought through Apple's App Store. All payments are handled by Apple, and payment details such as credit card numbers are never passed to this app or to the developer. The only information the app receives is whether the option has been bought. If your purchase does not show up, for example after you change phones, try “Restore Purchases” in the app's Settings.
Your counts and settings are stored on your own device. If you delete the app, they are deleted with it. If there are records you want to keep, export them as CSV before deleting the app.
This app is not aimed at any particular age group, and the developer does not collect personal information from users. Nor does the developer knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date revised.
