This is an English translation of the Japanese privacy policy. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.
Summary
ABLooplay does not collect any information about its users. Audio files you import never leave this iPhone.
The app goes online only to search for and download podcasts, and payment for the paid features (ABLooplay Pro) is handled by Apple.
There is no account registration, and the app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking.
1. Information collected
None. There is no user information that the developer can obtain, store or view.
This app has no server.
Loading audio files, playback, creating waveforms and rewriting tags all take place only on the device.
2. Information sent outside the device
Only when you use the podcast features does the app make the following connections. Neither goes through
a server run by the developer, and the developer never receives their contents.
Searching for shows: the search terms you enter are sent to Apple's search service (iTunes Search API), and a list of shows is received
Getting episodes: the RSS feed and audio files of the show you choose are downloaded from that show's publisher. As with any ordinary web connection, your IP address and similar information reach the publisher
Other than this, the app does not send audio files, tags, settings or usage information outside the device.
3. How files are handled
The only files imported are files you choose in the Files app, songs you choose from your music library,
episodes you choose from podcasts, videos you choose in the Photos app, and files another app hands over through its share button.
Files from the Files app and the Photos app are chosen through the standard iOS picker,
so the app cannot see anything other than what you choose.
Copying: files you choose are copied into the app. This is because, if the app only remembered where a file was, it could no longer be played once the actual iCloud Drive file was removed from the device
Rewriting: when you correct the title, artist, album or track number, the tags of the copy inside the app are rewritten. The original file is not touched
Location: files inside the app are visible in the Files app as On My iPhone > ABLooplay. You can take them out at any time
Music library: iOS asks for your permission only when you use “From Music Library”. Of the songs you choose, those without copy protection are copied into the app. The contents of your library are never sent outside the device
Videos: from a video you choose with “From Videos in Photos” or one shared from another app, only the audio is extracted, on the device, and kept in the app. The picture is not kept, and the original video is not touched. Because Photos goes through the iOS picker, the app does not ask for access to your photo library
Scripts and subtitles: the app reads timed text files (LRC) and subtitle files (SRT, VTT) that you choose, and lesson text that you paste in, and keeps their contents only on the device. Sentences you type for dictation are only checked against the script on the device; they are neither saved nor sent
Exporting: “Export This Section” and “Export Sections as LRC” only create a file on the device and pass it to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes; the app itself never sends it
Deletion: when you delete the app, the files imported into it are deleted along with it
Notifications (practice reminders)
iOS asks for your permission only when you turn on “Practice Reminder” in the Settings tab.
These are notifications created on the device only (local notifications), which remind you of “Today's practice” at the time you set. Notifications sent from a server (push notifications) are not used.
Microphone (recording your own voice)
The app asks for iOS permission and uses the microphone only when you tap “Record Voice” on the practice screen. This is to record you
imitating the section and play it right after the original so you can compare the two.
Only one recording is kept, in a temporary folder on this device. Recording again overwrites it, and it is deleted when you switch songs or close the recording panel
Recordings are never sent outside the device, and the developer never receives them
The microphone is not used unless you tap “Record Voice”
4. In-app purchases (ABLooplay Pro)
The purchase of the paid features (“ABLooplay Pro”), subscription procedures and payment are all handled by Apple's App Store.
The developer does not receive your name, payment method, Apple Account or other such information.
The app only checks on the device, through Apple's system (StoreKit), whether a purchase is active.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in the Settings app → [your name] → Subscriptions.
5. What the app does not use
Advertising (no advertising SDKs are included at all)
Analytics or behavior tracking (Firebase, Google Analytics and the like are not used)
Tracking for advertising purposes (the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission either)
Location (the app does not access the device's GPS)
Access to the photo library, camera, contacts, calendar, Health and the like (“From Videos in Photos” receives only the videos you choose in the iOS picker; the microphone is used only for “Record Voice”; see section 3 above)
Account registration or sign-in
6. What is stored on the device
Playback speed, key, repeat sections with their names and “Learned” marks, loaded scripts, favorites, playlists, the last song you listened to and recently practiced songs, practice time (total per day), settings, cached waveform data, and a record of whether Pro can be used are stored only on the device.
These are your settings and are never sent outside the device. They are deleted when you delete the app.
7. Children's privacy
This app does not collect any user information at all, regardless of age.
It does not collect personal information from children under 13 either.
8. Sharing with third parties
Since no information is collected, there is no information to provide to third parties.
No third-party SDKs are included in the app.
9. Copyright
This app is a playback tool. It assumes that you are entitled to lawfully use the audio you import (including podcast episodes),
and it has no involvement in where files are obtained.
10. Changes to this policy
If the content changes, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised.
If a change increases the information collected, it will also be described in the app's update notes.
